Library at Mbando VillageKnowledge is key to sustained progress. Abundance Launched its Library at Mbando village on 18 November 2017. It was indeed a community of well-wishers coming together to start this library. The furniture for the library was donated by Samuel Diekert, Abundance's Strategic Advisor. Books were donated by Geetha Jaykrishnan, Namib Desert Environment Education Trust (NaDEET), UNESCO Windhoek Office and Marybeth Gallagher.
Raymond, who was trained in carpentry by Abundance built two shelves for keeping the books. These shelves are kept in a room at the Community Based Child Care Center at Mbando village. The community has nominated a librarian who records book lending in a register. Wish to donate some books? Drop a mail to [email protected] |
